This Is What We're Up Against.
In Arizona, Black women die in pregnancy-related deaths at more than 2 times the rate of all Arizona women. Nearly 92% of those deaths were preventable and discrimination played a role in nearly 9 out of 10.
These are not statistics. These are mothers, daughters, and sisters whose lives were cut short due to systemic inequalities in healthcare. This crisis demands immediate action. Every day that passes without change means more families are left grieving and suffering.

Perinatal Health Policy Alliance
Building a foundation that outlives us all.
We are forming an alliance to enhance our advocacy efforts and ensure that the unique needs of our community are represented in health policy discussions. We are also developing advocacy and educational tools that will empower our community to engage directly with lawmakers and navigate the legislative system. By building the knowledge, confidence, and collective voice of community members and partners, we can advocate for policies that improve maternal and infant health outcomes.

Pathway to Perinatal Health Careers
Opening the door for the next generation.
We are establishing The Honey Pot Fund, a workforce development initiative to increase access to careers in perinatal health. The fund will provide financial assistance to young adults pursuing education and professional certification as doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, and other birth professionals. By investing in the next generation of culturally responsive care providers, we are helping build a stronger, more representative workforce that will improve birth outcomes and expand access to quality care for families.
